Study & layout
Patent study, measurement work and layout of the first metal parts.
A website dedicated to his work, his patents and the technical legacy they left in the history of electroculture. BSA Concept also presents its contemporary reconstructions based on the available historical documents.
The surviving documents present Christofleau as a French inventor devoted to the use of electrical and magnetic phenomena in agriculture. His historical work Electroculture describes his method, his apparatus and the applications claimed at the time.
The patent for the “electro-magnetic terrestrial-celestial apparatus” states that the application was filed on 6 July 1920.
The document states that the patent was granted on 5 September 1921 and published on 25 November 1921.
BSA Concept documents a first contemporary reconstruction dated 26 September 2024.

According to its text, the patent describes an electroculture apparatus intended to capture magnetic phenomena and atmospheric electricity and conduct them through underground metal conductors.
The document notably emphasizes the South–North orientation of the apparatus and includes a technical plate showing the main parts of the device.
On this website, these explanations are presented as historical content from the patent. They do not constitute modern scientific validation or a guarantee of results.View the patent PDF
BSA Concept has undertaken to reproduce, as faithfully as possible, certain devices described in Justin Christofleau’s patents, drawings and historical documents.
The first BSA reconstruction presented in this chronology is dated 26 September 2024. This date is stamped on the copper plate fitted to the device and is also visible in BSA photographic and video archives.
The engraved date, together with the original files, photographs, videos and dated publications, forms a set of elements documenting the chronology of this BSA reconstruction.
These models were built to recreate, in physical form, the shape and spirit of the apparatus described in historical sources. Where information was available, BSA Concept sought to respect as closely as possible the proportions, orientations, materials and construction principles visible in the documents.
They are intended primarily for collection, documentation, demonstration and experimentation, with the aim of bringing Justin Christofleau’s inventions back to life and helping people better understand them.
The agricultural performances or effects claimed in historical texts are presented as period claims and do not constitute a promise of contemporary results.

Part of the work was photographed to preserve the manufacturing chronology and show the transition from the historical document to the physical object.

Patent study, measurement work and layout of the first metal parts.

Fabrication, welding and progressive assembly of the reconstruction.

Fitting the points, surface finishing and preparation for installation.
The historical documents place particular importance on South–North orientation. BSA photographs show compass checks and the installation of reconstructions in a garden environment.
